About Airtable

Airtable's core product is a spreadsheet-database hybrid: tables behave like a database, with typed fields, links between tables and file attachments, while staying as easy to work with as a spreadsheet. The platform adds Interface Designer for building custom views without code, automations that connect services such as Google Workspace, Slack and Salesforce, reporting and governance tools, and AI agents that work across records.

The company was founded in 2012 by Howie Liu, Andrew Ofstad and Emmett Nicholas, was previously registered as Formagrid Inc. and is headquartered at 1 Front Street in San Francisco. Its about page states that 700 people work across five offices in San Francisco, Austin, London, New York and Sydney, that 500,000 companies build in Airtable with 10 million active users, and that 90% of the Fortune 100 use it. Plans include a free tier, Team at US$20 and Business at US$45 per user per month when billed annually.

In August 2026 Bending Spoons announced an acquisition of Airtable for US$1.3 billion. Airtable also acquired the research and analysis startup DeepSky in October 2025 and launched Hyperagent in January 2026, a standalone product that coordinates several AI agents working in parallel.
