Cloudflare's application services place websites and APIs behind its global network, present in more than 335 cities, to cache content, serve DNS and mitigate DDoS attacks on an unmetered basis. Security layers include a web application firewall with managed rules, machine-learning bot management, API Shield and protection for public-facing AI apps, plus smart routing and site optimisation. The entry plan already covers CDN, DNS, universal SSL, DDoS protection and basic WAF rules, while advanced bot controls and API Shield come with higher tiers.
