Stripe was founded by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison and is dual-headquartered in South San Francisco and Dublin. It made accepting online payments a matter of a few lines of code, and now offers payments, subscription billing, invoicing, fraud prevention, tax calculation and banking-as-a-service.
