About Atlassian

Atlassian was founded in Sydney in 2002 by Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, who started it with a credit card and no outside funding. Jira, originally a bug tracker, became the standard for agile software teams, and Confluence became a widely used team wiki.

Today Atlassian also makes Trello, Bitbucket and Jira Service Management, with most customers on its cloud platform. It is listed on Nasdaq and has large offices in Sydney, San Francisco and Bengaluru.
